Twin Flames Book 2 Status Update

December 7th 2011 in General

Hey folks,

Just a quick update on how things are progressing with book 2, Flame of Redemption. Currently, 8 chapters are completed and have been passed onto my critique group. I’m expecting the 9th to be done later this week. The story is still in the beginning stages, but there’s been a lot of action so far. Lochien finally gets to show off his true power, as well. I think you’ll quite like him in this book. Also, I’ve focused on fleshing out the back history of the world more in this book. There will be a lot of details revealed in book 2 that should fill in some gaps from book 1. I may even tell you why Kane was so against swords, but no promises. ;)

In each book I’ve added a scene that was from something I was either uncomfortable with or feared. It’s something that’s very vivid to me, and so it makes for good material to write about. In this case, for book 2, this scene involves spiders. A lot of spiders. I can’t tell you any details, lest I spoil it, but if you’re afraid of spiders then it will most likely make you pretty uncomfortable.

I still have quite a ways to go yet, as I’m not even 1/4 of the way done with the book, but with my upcoming vacation I hope to get some extended writing done. If I really push myself I can have the novel done by February. Otherwise, March or April is my goal.

There’s new characters, creatures and problems to deal with in book 2. I’m anxiously awaiting the release of this book as things are going to take a rather interesting turn which I’m not certain anybody will be able to predict. This is all leading up to book 3, of course, where the main story will come to an end. I hope to continue to expand on my the world I’ve created, however, so expect at least a prequel down the road.

Anyway, that’s it for now. Just some ramblings off the top of my head. I’ll be back with more news within the week.
